London light

There is something so Pygmalion about the London air that gets deep into your bones. The smell of chesnuts roasting in the streets around Covent Garden is sensual and so different to chestnuts roasting on the streets of Paris. Christmas lights up the english city with a glowing cheer that feels cosier than a sophisticated, edgy, french Noel. A cockney accent with a subtle and naughty sense of humour is a change from a stern and astute “Bonjour“.

Yes, it was fun, Monday’s high-speed trip… a sunrise in Paris, sunset in London, then home again. And, with the positive results we’d hoped for, there’ll may be more days like it on the way.
